The Driver
Our drivers are all partners of South India by Car and Driver and form our group of independent professional owner-drivers. They are experienced drivers specialised in tours in South India. Our drivers speak English. Their livelihoods depend on customer satisfaction.
The driver has the qualifications and experience to perform his job. He is legally licensed to carry tourists, which includes issues of moral behaviour and requires the absence of a criminal record and an accident record.
He has signed the South India by Car and Driver Charter, covering his qualifications, mission and contributions to customer service including personal ethics and the respect of our procedures and policies. He has also signed its annex based on the Defensive Driving concept initiated in the USA.
The Car
All our cars are recent and air-conditioned. They are perfectly adapted to driving our guests in safety and comfort in South India.
The car will be maintained in excellent condition, properly serviced, with good tyres. As a rule, the driver will clean the car inside and out at least every other day. His car is vital to his work and therefore proudly preserves its reliability at all times.
Our cars are non-smoking. For smokers, the driver will make stops on request.

Our cars can take up to three guests very comfortably, with room for their luggage, for example :

Toyota ETIOS 5 seater mid-size economy car, fully air-conditioned
For larger groups we can provide appropriate vehicles, such as 12, 14 and 17 seater travellers or 27 and 41 seater luxury coaches.
